CQUni trying to move away from dual-sector tag

CQUNIVERSITY wants to be known as a "comprehensive university", says Vice-Chancellor Scott Bowman. 

He said the university is trying to move away from their dual-sector tag.

 "We're trying to move away from that, because dual-sector kind of means two," he said.

"You can't say higher education, because then that means you have lower education "It's education, it's just all on a spectrum."

Prof Bowman said they wanted to make the university different and special, to really meet the demands of the region.

"We're just going to be empowering and educating people to be what they want to be."
