Tributes pour in for crash victim

FACEBOOK tributes flowed yesterday for Liam O'Reilly, the 21-year-old Gladstone man, who died in a horror crash on the Bruce Highway at Mount Larcom on Monday.

It's understood Liam had recently moved to Gladstone for work purposes after a stint at Rockhampton's Hillcrest Hospital as an enrolled nurse.

Liam was originally from Toowoomba.

He died when his car, which was stationary, was hit by a B-double north of Mount Larcom on Monday about 9.20am.

Traffic had come to a standstill due to an earlier crash.

Posts on his Facebook page yesterday showed he was a well-loved and popular man.

Tributes included:

"All my thoughts and love are with your family Liam. This is overwhelming...you were loved and respected by many. You made our world a better place...our hearts are sad and empty x."

"Thinking of my family and sending them all my love, I hope we are all together soon. RIP Liam.... My cousin, my Brother, my friend. You believed in me when I couldn't believe in myself. I love you and I'll miss you."

"R.I.P Liam you will be sadly missed xx."

"RIP little man, everyone who is blessed with beautiful memories of you is feeling the hurt in heavy hearts right now xx a beautiful soul an amazing friend, no doubt you are up there with the big man. Its such a tragedy, taken away too soon.
