Creative talents combine for unique Capricorn Coast business

KAREN Poole has always had a flair for hair.

The hairdresser of 18 years has worked in salons in Melbourne and has now brought her creativity to Rockhampton.

After moving to Rocky a year ago, the hairdresser decided it was time to use her creative side and turn it into a business.

Karen is now part of Capricorn Coast Makeovers, and styling hair for brides, girls off to formals and those heading to the races.

But Capricorn Coast Makeovers would not be complete without her business partners Sarah Offord and Amanda Broszat, who have brought their skills of being a beautician and photographer to the business.

Together the three women are providing a one-stop shop for women heading to events.

Karen said customers can get a hairstyle, their make up done and have their photographer capture their special moments.

The businesswomen all met in Rockhampton and hit it off, with their business combining their three hobbies.

"Sarah always been interested in photography and it's been her hobby," Karen explained.

"I've been working as a hairdresser out of my house; and Amanda's a qualified beautician."
