MICHELLE Landry has praised emergency services after fire wreaked havoc in Rosslyn Bay Harbour on Saturday night.

The Member for Capricornia doesn't live far from Rosslyn Bay Harbour so went down there on Saturday night and Sunday morning to check on the situation.

"It's devastating for the Allens; they've just put all this money into doing that boat up," she said.

"They're gutted.

"It's really hard, the tourist season is just beginning … it's going to have a huge impact on tourism in Yeppoon."

Ms Landry also wanted to acknowledge the incredible job done by emergency service workers.

"If that fire had got out of control it would have been massive," she said.
