Cubs take World Series to decider

BASEBALL: One drought will finally come to an end tomorrow when game seven of the World Series is played between the Chicago Cubs and Cleveland Indians.

The Cubs will be looking to claim their first Major League title since 1908 and the Indians their first since 1948 when the game gets under way at Progressive Field, Cleveland, tomorrow morning.

Having been down 3-1, the Cubs have pushed the series to a seventh and deciding clash after a convincing 9-3 win.

Addison Russell was the catalyst for the victory, hitting a grand slam in the third innings and putting his side out to a 7-0 lead.

Russell tied Albert Pujols, Hideki Matsui and Bobby Richardson for most RBIs in a World Series game.

Kris Bryant also had four hits for Chicago and homered for the second successive game.

The Indians will have pitching ace Corey Kluber back.
