Cyclist critical after being hit by car

A MAN is in a critical condition following a serious traffic crash yesterday afternoon.

Initial investigations indicate that around 2.20pm, a man was riding a bicycle north along Lowood Minden Road when he collided with a vehicle, also heading north.

The rider, a 70-year-old Prenzalu man, fell from his bike, suffering critical injuries and was transported to the Princess Alexandra Hospital by the Queensland Ambulance Service.

There is no further information available at this stage. 

The Forensic Crash Unit will continue their investigations.
