Truck and bobcat in Wandal home

9.35am: NICOLE Connelly heard a loud crack from outside her window and quickly discovered a bobcat, truck and trailer had crashed into her neighbour's front yard.

At 7.50am this morning emergency service crews were called to a residence on the corner of Meade and Charlotte St in Wandal where a large truck carrying a bobcat on its trailer had crashed into the front yard of the property.

Nicole, a resident in Charlotte St said she heard a loud cracking sound when she was getting her son ready for school.

"I was inside getting ready for the morning and I heard this big crack, it sounded like a tree falling or a fence breaking," she said.

"I opened the window and saw a bobcat smashed into the fence of the house opposite me and then I saw a truck on its side and with a trailer pushed into the front fence. It's really lucky the home owners weren't out in the front yard or on the front deck because the truck only just missed the deck.

"The truck was in park up on the hill in Meade St and apparently the breaks were on but the slant of the street is quiet deceiving so the trucks just slid straight down the road but luckily no one was hurt."

Emergency crews were in the process of pulling the truck out at 8.45am.

7.55am: EMERGENCY services have been called to the corner of Charlotte and Meade St in Wandal due to a crash.

Reports indicate a truck with a bobcat has rolled down a hill and into a house.

No further details are available at this time.

Meanwhile, motorists should be aware of roadworks being carried out on Lakes Creek Rd around the Berserker and Dean Street intersections.

Reader Owen Fuller reports: Traffic control in place at two locations in the Cawarral area (on Dairy Inn Road, and on Coorooman Creek Road) as crews continue to remove dead vegetation from the roadside. Short delays are being experienced.
