Dance, business right for heather

A PASSION for dance and the perfect business opportunity led Heather Petersen to become the face of Centre De Danse 12 years ago.

Born in Rockhampton, Heather has been a part of the dancing community for many years.

Her daughter Karen, is also a devoted dance teacher.

When the opportunity to buy Centre De Danse came up in 1997, they couldn't resist the chance to make a hobby into a business and introduced gift lines for both boys and girls.

These days Heather still describes her job as owner of Centre De Danse as a lifestyle and enjoys catching up with her customers, many whom she has known to become good friends with.

“It is wonderful to get up each day and be involved in something you enjoy,” she said.

Centre De Danse not only specialises in dancewear for all ages including leotards, dancing shoes and bags, but they also stock a wide range of unique gifts for any occasion, including wizards, dragons, figurines and fairies.

Conveniently located on Musgrave Street, Centre De Danse prides itself on quality products and friendly service that's second to none.

Heather's love of dance and experience means she can give customers sound advice and service to meet individual needs.
