Single Rocky man Daniel Rumpf is living life to the fullest

DANIEL Rumpf is living life to the fullest.

He's heading off on holidays, dining out, and doesn't mind the occasional night out with his mates.

And Daniel doesn't have to justify any of his spending to anyone.

He's one of many singles in Rockhampton that are happy to splash out on themselves with their hard earned money.

A new report from Suncorp Bank shows that Rockhampton's single population spend $17,420 annually on themselves by having weekends away, paying for entertainment, groceries and personal grooming.

Daniel, 40, wants to enjoy his money and what life has to offer.

"If there's a good concert or music festival I'll go or to something like the V8 Supercars in Townsville," the sales rep said.

One of his passions is cooking good food, and he says he won't spare any cost when it comes to buying the best steak at the supermarket.

"I like quality food, not dining out on Maccas, I want to dine out on decent food, and I buy good food because I love to cook," he said.

Daniel hasn't always been a big spender; money went to his daughter while she was growing up. But Daniel said now that she's an adult, he's free to do what he likes with his wage.

"Things are a little tighter when you have kids. You do the right thing and pay for your kids," he said.

"Too many people stress about money.

"I know people that have died with plenty of money in the bank, so what's the point. You work hard all your life to have money in the bank but you haven't enjoyed yourself."

Daniel is taking his own advice and enjoying himself, he's recently booked a trip to Port Douglas and Airlie Beach, with only the best hotels fitting his budget.
