Fire destroys tattoo parlour and two homes

UPDATE: Police are treating a fire which destroyed a Tara tattoo parlour, Ink Addict, in the early hours of this morning as suspicious. 

Officer in charge of Tara police station Sergeant Brooke Flood said the fire broke out at the property on Chinchilla-Tara Road between 4am and 4.40am this morning.

"At this stage police are treating the incident as suspicious," Sgt Flood said. 

"Dalby CIB and Toowoomba CIB have been notified and will be attending the scene this morning," Sgt Flood said. 

Sgt Flood said the owner of the house and tattoo studio which were burnt to the ground had been contacted and police are certain no one was in either building at the time of the blaze.

EARLIER: Four separate structures were destroyed by a this morning fire despite the best efforts of Queensland Fire and Emergency Services.

A Queensland Fire and Emergency spokeswoman said two houses, a shed and another structure had been razed in the early morning blaze.

One crew remains at the scene dampening down hot spots.

Fire investigators from Toowoomba are on the way to the scene to determine the cause of the blaze.

The fires on Chinchilla-Tara Rd, Tara, were reported to emergency services about 4.45am.

They arrived on the scene about 5.15am to find the house had been destroyed.

There were no occupants inside at the time.

Firefighters remain at the property dampening down hot spots and making the scene safe.

Authorities will investigate the cause of the fire this morning.
