DASHCAM: Motorbike rider learns a 'painful' lesson

A MOTORCYCLE rider has shared a video from his helmet-mounted camera after crashing into another vehicle.

Dash Cam Owners Australia uploaded the video from the anonymous rider last night, captioned: "Bit of a painful way to learn a lesson."

According to the video's time-stamp, the crash occurred on February 6 this year at 2:55pm.

While it's difficult to read the motorbike's speedometer in the video, it seems to be well above 75kmh as the rider overtakes traffic on a winding two-lane road.

As the road bends, he fails to take a corner.

Bumping against a white sedan in the right hand lane, he loses balance and control, sliding to the road.

Panting heavily, he then appears to have trouble freeing one leg from the motorbike as traffic stops and onlookers rush to his aid.

Many commenters on the page slammed the rider for his recklessness, while others said it was an easy mistake to make.

"Did the rider loose his licence for doing 40kph or more over the limit?" Handy Andy commented.

Some commenters remembered their own motorcycle mishaps.

"Still better than me! I mastered the art of crashing into bushes and gave up! I suck so I stick to 4 wheels," Sam Rowe wrote.

"Lol my shoe lace got caught in my gears first time out haha," Chris Hallett said.
