DC Motors clock up support at Test Drive for Life

DC Motors' annual Test Drive for Life, held April 7-9, offers locals the opportunity to test-drive their vehicle of choice to help raise funds for charity.

With every kilometre driven, DC Motors will donate $1 to Cancer Council Queensland's Rockhampton Relay For Life.

DC Motors spokesman Peter Scherer said Test Drive for Life was a great opportunity for locals to give back to an important cause.

"The Test Drive for Life event will be a fun way for anyone in Central Queensland to help raise valuable funds for Cancer Council," Mr Scherer said.

"It's simple as well, just come in, drive your favourite vehicle, or vehicles, and DC Motors will donate $1 for every km driven."

Locals can test drive vehicles at DC Motors (85 Derby St, Rockhampton) on April 7-8 from 11am - 4pm, and on April 9 from 9am - 2pm.

Cancer Council Queensland Relay For Life Coordinator Ashlee Hansen thanked DC Motors for their ongoing generosity.

"With the help of businesses like DC Motors, we can continue to reach out to an estimated 26,000 Queenslanders who will be diagnosed with cancer this year," Ms Hansen said.

"Funds raised enable us to invest in cancer research and offer vital practical, financial and emotional support services to everyone affected, including those in Rockhampton."

Ms Hansen encouraged locals to take DC Motors up on their offer and test drive a car.

"Take your dream car for a drive, knowing that every kilometre you clock up makes a vital difference in the lives of locals affected by cancer," Ms Hansen.

Cancer Council Queensland's Rockhampton Relay For Life will be held on May 14-15 at Colts Rugby Union Oval. To register, visit relayforlife.org.au.
