2PM: MOTORISTS beware - there are delays south of the Yeppen roundabout.

Motorists travelling in the area are advised to use an alternate route or follow the reduced speed limit and traffic controller directions.

The Morning Bulletin has already received reports of it taking 45 minutes to drive from the Mt Morgan turn off to the roundabout and motorists not heeding to the speed limit, causing rocks to flick up and smash windscreens of vehicles travelling behind.

Motorists whose vehicles may have been affected are encouraged to contact 1800 896 600.
