Dingo Race Day's trap throwing

THE Dingo Race Day has a lot to offer people in the Central Highlands but one thing it has over everywhere else is its trap throwing competition.

Dingo Race Club president Jeff Olive believes a country race day benefits from unique events, like the trap throw.

"As far as I am aware we are the only trap throw event in the world and we highlight that,” he said.

Buses will run from Blackwater Workers' Club to the Dingo race track, for $5 per person and leave at 10.45am, 11.30am, noon and 12.45pm.

Return buses will leave at 6.45pm, 8.30pm, 10.30pm and midnight. All-day access to the event is $10.

The five race program begins at noon on Saturday, with gates open from 11am. Free camping is available.
