Fitness prof and qualified dietician to hold workshops

ROCKHAMPTON might be fast-food central, but Sarah Mauger and Amy Long are here to make our plates a little greener.

The duo have been passionate about health and fitness for almost a decade, and decided to pair up their skills to help the people of Central Queensland.

The fitness professional and qualified dietician will hold workshops in the coming weeks in the Rockhampton area to help educate people about proper nutrition and healthy habits.

Sarah said the events would run in three-session sets.

"We are going to run a series of workshops focusing on proteins, fats, carbohydrates and the good, bad and the ugly of those," she said.

"Basically we are about educating people about food and how to make the best choices they can about what is out there."
