Trial restarts today after jury dismissed yesterday

DAY two of a trial against a Rockhampton man charged with burglary and stalking ended with a mistrial in Rockhampton District Court yesterday.

The court heard evidence given by a protected witness was "prejudicial" towards the defendant and the jury was dismissed.

Shane Timothy Wickham was also charged with deprivation of liberty and assault occasioning bodily harm.

"These things sometimes happen," Judge Michael Burnett said.

The trial restarts today.
