Doggone fun for all the family

ROCKHAMPTON Regional Council will hold the bimonthly, three-kilometre leisurely dog walk on Sunday in Yeppoon.

Every man, woman, child and their dog is encouraged to take part in the walk, which will step off from Merv Anderson Park (Ross Creek) at 8.30am.

Dogs must be kept on a leash at all times and owners must take along adequate poop bags and water to keep yourself and your dog hydrated.

"Remember taking your dog for a walk doesn't only benefit you. An exercised dog is a happy dog and daily exercise improves their bones, joints, heart and lung function,'' organiser Sophia Czarkowski said.

Contact Sophia on 1300 22 55 77 for details about this free community event, which is supported by Bark Busters and Rockhampton Regional Council.
