THE Nerimbera Football Club is getting back on its feet nine months on from Cyclone Marcia.

Club president Ricky England said construction would start to rebuild the club, which was wiped out in the storm in February.

Not only is the club being rebuilt, but a $400 donation from Rockhampton Regional Council's Community Fund will see the club's trophies restored.

Councillor Neil Fisher presented the money to Ricky on 4RO's Saturday morning sports show.

The club's trophies were significantly damaged after being stuck underneath a brick wall when the cyclone tore the building apart.

Ricky said the money would go towards restoring the trophies which meant a lot to club.
