Stolen car involved in evade and crash spotted at Pink Lily

BREAKING UPDATE DEC 4, 3PM: REPORTS indicate a black Audi involved in multiple offences earlier this week has been spotted at Pink Lily. 

Initial reports suggest a worker at a business on Osborne Rd reported a suspicious vehicle in the area, and it matched the registration and description of the Audi. 

The Audi was involved in an evade police incident, as well as a traffic crash, on Wednesday afternoon. 

Police are proceeding. 

UPDATE 4.45PM: A QUEENSLAND Police spokesman has confirmed Rockhampton police are still searching for the driver of a black Audi involved in an evade police and traffic crash this afternoon. 

It is believed the black Audi was stolen. 

Anyone with information which could assist police is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000. 

 

BREAKING 1.30PM: POLICE are on the hunt for the driver of a black Audi that fled police before running multiple red lights, crossing onto the wrong side of the road and crashing into another vehicle on Yaamba Rd. 

Initial reports suggest the black Audi, which has no number plates, but distinctive chrome mags and dark tinted windows, spotted police at the intersection of Farm and Scott St and sped off. 

Police followed and the vehicle is believed to have driven through multiple red lights on Yaamba Rd before crossing onto the opposite side of the road and side-swiping an oncoming vehicle and speeding off. 

The driver of the struck vehicle is not believed to have suffered any injuries but the car suffered superficial scrapes up the side and the side mirror was damaged. 

The black Audi is believed to have fled from a Walker St address.
