UPDATE: Two elderly women in hospital after shopping centre crash

UPDATE: TWO elderly women were taken to the Kingaroy Hospital after they were struck by a car while dining at Kingaroy Shoppingworld. 

Paramedics initally assessed five people at the scene and thought four people would need hospitalisation but two declined transport. 

A Queensland Police spokesman said investigations into the cause of the accident continue. 

11.30AM: PARAMEDICS are treating four people after they were hit by a car in the Kingaroy Shoppingworld carpark.

A Queensland Ambulance Services spokeswoman said one patient had already been taken to the Kingaroy Hospital in a stable condition.

The remaining three people will be transported soon.

Witnesses at the scene said a driver lost control of their vehicle and hit a number of shoppers outside the centre's main entrance.
