Drug found during search of passenger

MICHAEL Allen McCabe pleaded guilty last week in Rockhampton Magistrates Court to possessing methamphetamine, utensils and a knife in public.

The court was told police intercepted a vehicle on Queen Elizabeth Dr at 9pm on August 22.

McCabe was a passenger in the car and was detained for a search.

Officers found less than a gram of methamphetamine in a bag in his pockets. They also located a burnt straw and a 10cm knife. McCabe was placed on probation for 12 months.
