Drunken riverfront brawl leads to prison sentence

A DRUNKEN brawl on the Quay St riverfront ended badly for Sasha Lee Barnes who pleaded guilty in Rockhampton Magistrates Court to public nuisance.

Barnes was involved in a fight at 7.10pm on September 28 when she told police she didn't remember fighting with or swearing at six other people.

Police prosecutor Senior Constable Manon Barwick handed up Barnes' 16-page criminal history.

The 34-year-old was sentenced to three months in prison, wholly suspended for nine months.
