Duaringa under water restriction

DUARINGA residents have today been urged to limit water use to essential requirements such as drinking and flushing toilets.

The Central Highlands Regional Council is currently experiencing problems with the town’s raw water supply system and the delivery of water to households.

Due to flooding of the Dawson River, council maintenance staff have been unable to rectify problems with the Water Treatment Plant and a total sprinkler ban is in place.

Council advises the restriction is expected to be temporary.

It will advise residents when full service has been reinstated.

Advice on Council’s website www.chrc.qld.gov.auwill be updated regularly.
