Historic Dululu Hotel gutted by fire yesterday

THE historic Dululu Hotel has been gutted after a fire broke out around lunchtime yesterday.

Fire crews were dispatched to the small town, about 82km south-west of Rockhampton, about 12.45pm.

No one was injured.

It is believed the hotel, on the corner of Burnett and Leichhardt hwys, was not open for service at the time.

Investigators are still looking into the cause of the fire.

The Dululu Hotel was built in 1928.
