Dysart toddler dies after contracting meningococcal

A TWO-YEAR-OLD girl from Dysart has reportedly died in a Townsville hospital after contracting meningococcal.

The toddler was airlifted to the North Queensland hospital on the weekend.

Meanwhile, a Capricorn Coast teenager with the disease is recovering in Rockhampton Hospital.

A Queensland Health spokeswoman said she may be transferred to Yeppoon Hospital this week.
