Eagles shock Power to claim victory

A MASSIVE third quarter helped give West Coast a stunning 11.12 (78) to 10.8 (68) win over Port Adelaide at the Adelaide Oval yesterday.

After trailing 7.6 (48) to 4.7 (31) at half-time, the Eagles went on to dominate the third term, booting 4.4 to Port's solitary goal.

The third quarter also saw the Eagles own the hitouts, winning 18 to three in that area.

Matt Priddis (pictured, 31 disposals and one goal), Chris Masten (30 disposals) and Mark LeCras (28 disposals and one goal) led the way for the Eagles.

A see-sawing final quarter saw the visitors hang on, with Luke Shuey (two) and Jamie Cripps booting majors, while Chad Wingard and Angus Monfries kicked goals for Port.

Robbie Gray (25 disposals and three goals), Hamish Hartlett (25 disposals) and Travis Boak (23 disposals and one goal) led the way for the Power.

The win was arguably Eagles coach Adam Simpson's best since taking charge of the team last season, with the side suffering so many injuries so far in 2015.
