Education trailer for rural brigade

THE Rural Fire Service (RFS) in Central Queensland has been able to purchase a new mobile fire education trailer as a result of $23,000 raised by the Bendigo Bank and local community.

QFRS Rural Operations Assistant Commissioner Neil Gallant said the vital piece of equipment, which was handed over to the service today, would prove very beneficial when conducting community awareness presentations in the region.

Bendigo Bank Regional Manager for Central Queensland Steve Myers said in the past two years, Central Queensland had experienced a spate of natural disasters, including severe flooding and bush fires.
