Eight-year-old girl bitten twice on leg by snake at Gogango
A SNAKE had bitten a Gogango girl, 8, last night, while she watched her father work with a horse.
The girl had been near her house, watching her father, when she felt something near her feet.
When she moved the snake bit her twice on the leg.
It is not known what type of snake bit the girl.
The girl's parents applied first aid and called emergency services.
RACQ Capricorn Helicopter Rescue airlifted the girl to Rockhampton Base Hospital.
She has been discharged from hospital.
It is also reported a Bouldercombe woman had been bitten by a snake this week.
She is in Rockhampton hospital in a stable condition.
