Ellie Goulding praises 'angels' of Victoria's Secret

ELLIE  Goulding had a wonderful time with the "beautiful Angels" at the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show on Tuesday night.

The British pop star performed two songs at the spectacular lingerie showcase held at the Lexington Avenue Armory in New York City, singing 'Army' during the butterfly segment and a rendition of her 'Fifty Shades of Grey' track 'Love Me like You Do' as the scantily-clad beauties strutted down the catwalk for the snow queen section.

Ellie has now taken to her Instagram account to thank the models for their support and Victoria's Secret boss Edward Razek for asking her to perform.

She also gave a "special shoutout" to the VS Show's creative director Sophia Neophitou for her incredible staging.

Ellie's post read: "I had the most wonderful time with these ladies and the whole of the Victoria's Secret team, what a brilliant bunch of people, from the beautiful angels to behind the scenes, I can see why this is such a world renowned killer show. Special shoutout to Sophia Neophitou whom I adore ... Thank you for having me @victoriassecret @Ed_Razek So much Love xxx (sic)"

As Ellie soundtracked the butterfly section she was joined on the catwalk by her friend Gigi Hadid and Kendall Jenner - with both models walking in the show for the first time.

Other performances on the night came from The Weeknd - who was give the responsibility to open the show with the Angels - and Selena Gomez, who sang her track 'Me & My Girls' from her new album 'Revival'.

The Victoria's Secret Fashion Show will air on CBS on Tuesday, December 8.
