Qualifications boost earns top gong for Glenmore High

GLENMORE State High School has blazed ahead in the education gongs stakes, taking out the QSuper Showcase Award for Excellence in the Senior Years.

Its Belonging, Leadership, Attitude, Zest and Endurance program - or BLAZE for short - has encouraged students to develop a roadmap of their goals for Year 10 and beyond.

It has resulted in a 35% increase in the number of Year 12s graduating, and a 39% surge in students leaving with a Certificate II qualification or higher.

Every senior school leaver obtained a Certificate of Education, Certificate of Education or a Certificate II last year.
