29-year-old Rolleston man dies after incident at Saleyards

UPDATE 8.35AM: POLICE have confirmed the man who died as a result of injuries sustained in an accident at Gracemere Saleyards yesterday was a 29-year-old man from Rolleston.

UPDATE 7.40AM: A MAN who was injured at the Gracemere Saleyards yesterday has died overnight.

The Queensland Police Service has confirmed the man died as a result of injuries from the workplace incident at the saleyards.

UPDATE 1.40PM: A 28-year-old man has been rushed to the Rockhampton Hospital with severe head injuries following an incident at the Gracemere Saleyards.

A Queensland Ambulance Service spokeswoman said they received the call out at 11.32am.

She said they found the man unconscious near the area where trucks go in to unload cattle.

It is believed the man became lodged between a trailer and a semi-trailer.

He is in a critical condition.

12.15PM: EMERGENCY services are attending an incident at the Gracemere Saleyards on the Capricorn Highway.

Initial reports indicate a man in his late 20s has suffered a head injury and is in a critical condition.
