Rockhampton Qantas passenger dies midflight

UPDATE: Authorities have confirmed a male passenger died on a flight from Rockhampton to Brisbane this morning. 

The flight was diverted back to Rockhampton due to the medical emergency. 

BREAKING: Emergency services are heading to Rockhampton airport following reports a passenger on board a Qantaslink flight is in need of immediate medical assistance. 

Initial reports suggest the male passenger is unconscious and staff are attempting to treat him with CPR. 

It is unknown what has caused the incident.
