UPDATE 1.30PM: Police have laid charges against a teenager over a stabbing incident in a Wilsonton home this morning.
A 17-year-old has been charged with wounding and has been released from police custody after allegedly injuring his father, 31, in an incident at the address.
The man's father was taken to Toowoomba Hospital for treatment of the injury and has since been released.
Darling Downs Detective Inspector Dave Isherwood said the teenager would face court on December 15.
"There has been a dispute at the house and as a result of that dispute, the father received some injuries which are consistent with being slashed with a knife," he said.
"The injuries are not serious."
9.45AM: A man is being treated for a stab wound to the chest after an incident at a Wilsonton home this morning.
Police were called to a Mollison Crt home about 7.40am with reports a man was seriously injured.
He was taken to Toowoomba Hospital a short time later and is understood to be receiving treatment for superficial injuries.
A 17-year-old male is in custody and is assisting police with their inquiries.
8AM: A man has been stabbed and another man arrested in Toowoomba this morning.
The incident occurred about 7.30am in Mollison Crt, Wilsonton.
Emergency services rushed to the scene.
Paramedics are treating one man with serious injuries caused by multiple stab wounds.
Police have arrested a man over the incident.
