Emmadilla Peacock-Lewis' mother pleads with her to come home

Emmadilla's mother pleads to her missing daughter

THE mother of a teenage girl who was last seen in Toowoomba in September has publicly asked her daughter to come home.

Emmadilla Peacock-Lewis, 15, was last seen at her father's house at French St, East Toowoomba, on September 28 and police believe she has travelled to Tasmania with a 42 year old man.

Police held a press conference this morning when Emmadilla's distressed mother, Kathleen, pleaded to her daughter to come forward.

"I would like to say to you Emmadilla if you're out there, and I know you are out there, could you please get in contact with me, with the family, with your dad, just to let us know that you're alright.

"And I'd like to see you come home sweetheart."

She also said parents hold their children's hands for a little while but held their hearts forever.

"If everybody out there that may possibly see my daughter could you please get in contact.

"I love you sweetheart and I'd like to see you come home."

Darling Downs District Detective Inspector Dave Isherwood said police had grave concerns for Emmadilla's safety and pleaded for the public to contact police if they see her or the 42-year-old man she is likely with, Justin Bradburn.

Detective Inspector Isherwood said Emmadilla met Mr Bradburn through a mutual friend and that they had been friendly for the past few months.

Mr Bradburn's family reported him missing on October 31.

Police do not believe he had a car in Queensland and suspect the pair travelled to Tasmania, where Mr Bradburn is from.

"As you can imagine the family are very distraught, they haven't seen or heard from their daughter for some seven weeks," Detective Inspector Isherwood said.

"And we would like to bring a conclusion to this ongoing situation for this family to comfort them and certainly to make sure she is safe and well."

Emmadilla is described as 165cm tall with brown to auburn hair, fair complexion, hazel eyes.

Mr Bradburn is 175-180cm tall with a slim build, fair complexion, light brown hair and possibly clean shaven.
Anyone with information is urged to phone Crime Stoppers 1800 333 000.
