THE mining industry has been rocked by yet another tragic death - this time in north-west New South Wales.

Thiess Sedgman Joint Venture confirms the tragic death today of an employee working on the construction of the Coal Handling and Preparation Plant (CHPP) for Boggabri Coal.

Police and workplace authorities are investigating the incident and Thiess Sedgman is providing full
cooperation and assistance.

Thiess and Sedgman extend their deepest sympathies to the employee's family and full support is
being extended to them.

Trauma counselling is being provided to people onsite.
