Emu Park women await grand final opponents

RUGBY LEAGUE: The Emu Park women can enjoy a welcome weekend off as they wait for their grand final opponent to be decided.

The unbeaten Emus were the first team into the Rockhampton Rugby league women's decider after they scored a 24-10 win over Tannum Seagals last weekend.

Seagals will on Sunday face off against the Wallabys, who saw off a spirited Norths Chargers outfit in the elimination semi, for the remaining grand finals berth.

Emus' front rower Amanda Ohl and her teammates are expecting a tough grand final, no matter the opposition.

"Wallabys and Tannum are both very strong and capable teams and both have different strengths,” Ohl said.

"We are quietly confident but we're not getting too far ahead of ourselves. We just need to concentrate on our own game and we're training hard to iron out any kinks we have before next Sunday's grand final.”
