AMY Schnabel was looking forward to a quiet Saturday night at Rosslyn Bay Harbour where she could go fishing in peace.

But peace was shattered by several loud explosions after fire lit up two vessels moored in the harbour.

Amy went down to the harbour about 9pm with her partner and two friends, but was only there for about 15 minutes before noticing the smell of burning plastic.

"I looked up, smoke was coming up," she said.

"The fire started to get bad so we went to check if anyone was there.

"We only saw one man, the owner of the boat beside it hosing it down."

Amy said there were several loud explosions, and she managed to capture one on video.
