Expo one-stop wedding shop
SHE was from Rockhampton.
He was from Brisbane.
They met in Toowoomba and the rest is history.
That’s the story of Rochelle White and William Torr who will tie the knot next March at Goldston House.
But for the young and very-much-in-love couple, Rochelle’s got the wedding plans all under control and at a bargain.
While they won’t be spending as much as Prince Charles did on marrying Kate Middleton, the soon-to-be-married couple are planning their wedding on a budget of around $15,000.
“I’m a very organised person which is why I’ve got most of the wedding sorted and mostly at bargain prices,” she said.
However, the 21-year-old still has some finishing touches to add to the big day, and will be heading to the Rockhampton Weddings Expo at Goldston House this Sunday.
The event, co-ordinated by Red Carpet Events and Goldston House, will this year be giving away $19,000 to a lucky couple when they enter the Expo’s draw.
“I’ve heard that you can get a lot of nice things there for a bargain so I’ll be getting my little bits ‘n’ pieces from there,” the bride-to-be said.
“I’m still to get the cake, flowers, wedding rings, invites and a limo booked, so I know this will be a great opportunity to find most of these things at once.”
The expo is from 10am to 3pm. Entry is $5 and the first 300 brides-to-be through will receive a free gift bag full of offers.
