Facebookers pick the first movie for Rocky's new drive-in

THE positive comments kept coming after the Rockhampton Regional Council agreed to a three-month trial of a drive-in movie theatre at the city's showgrounds.

We asked readers what they thought and what the first movie should be.

Here are some comments:

Angela Ohl: I'm so excited

Trish Spidy: No more drives to Yatala to go to the "Drive In", can't wait!

Kathy Boland: Count me in

Julie Davies: My first date with my husband 36 years ago was at the Mount Isa drive-in and he behaved badly (fortunately). I'd love to go to one again to see anything, although I'm willing to bet he wants to actually watch the movie this time.

Dianne Rocky: As long as it's cheap and it doesn't cost a fortune for a family

Tina Davis: Can't wait to take the kids, something they have missed out on growing up. It's so exciting that I can now

Amy Shepherd: Something for the kids. How to Train Your Dragon 2.

Tara Louise Philippi: Something old school.

Stephanie Nicholas: Grease!

Marie C. Alley: Yaaaaaaay

Sandi SMyname: Back to the Future! Start where I left off!

Rachel Hunt: I reckon Grease first

Grey Wombat: Woo-hoo!!! What about a movie marathon to kick it off? Perhaps have a survey of everyone's favourite movie from 2000.
