Fatal crash north of Mackay

A MAN has died in a single vehicle traffic crash in Strathdickie near Proserpine, north of Mackay, last night.  

Police were called to Laurina Drive at around 11.50pm after reports that a car had left the road.  

The sole occupant of the vehicle, a man believed to be in his 20s, was thrown from the car and located deceased near the crash site.  

Queensland Police Forensic Crash Unit is investigating the accident.
