Daughter in tribute to dad after parking row death
UPDATE: THE daughter of a 63-year-old man who died after a dispute over parking at a Logan shopping centre says she forgives those responsible for the tragedy.
Jenifer Berdie Posiano posted a beautiful tribute to her dad Ateliano Posiano who collapsed after the altercation on Thursday morning.
Police said that around 9.30am on Thursday, there was an altercation between a 24-year-old man and a 63-year-old man at the Logan Central Plaza shopping center car park on Wembley Road.
Shortly after the altercation, the 63-year-old man collapsed and was transported to the Logan Hospital where he was pronounced deceased.
Ms Posiano said on Facebook on Friday morning that she had not slept all night.
"Sitting here wondering why such a humble hearted human was taken away so quickly and easily from us?
"No doubt blessed and grateful for those who thought and prayed for us, as well as those who took the time to acknowledge the passing of our beloved father.
"No words or emotions could express how much pain as a family we are all dealing with atm... yet we thank and praise the Lord for only we know," GOD only takes the BEST!! "
"I personally know that our dad is up there looking over every single one of us, and if anyone knew my dad..they would know how much he was highly devoted to church and God!!
"I forgive the young man who did what he did, for I know my father would have done the exact same thing!
"As much as it hurts...
"I trust and know dad would humbly say 'Don't live with hate, but look into his eyes and see he is just as much of a son of mine, as you are a daughter of mine.''
"It is he who has shaped me into the woman I am today, and without a doubt forever appreciative and thankful of such a strong, kind, hearted man I call my "DAD"!!
"Missing you dearly... rest in love dad... and watch over us all..
"Till we meet again, we hold you no where else but closely in our hearts!
