Father of two hid marijuana down pants after purchase

ROCKHAMPTON father of two Anthony James Gordon pleaded guilty on Thursday in the Rockhampton Magistrates Court to unlawful possession and supply of a dangerous drug.

The court heard police were observing a Rockhampton property on August 8 when they saw Gordon, 49, enter and exit the house before entering his vehicle with another man.

When approached by police, the court heard that Gordon's passenger had attempted to take the two gram bag of marijuana that Gordon had purchased and hide it down the front of his pants.

Gordon claimed he was purchasing the drug for the passenger of the vehicle, and received no personal gain from the incident.

Magistrate Cameron Press sentenced Gordon to 100 hours of community service.
