Fire bans to stay for a week

FIRE bans will remain in place for a large number of local government areas across the state.

The areas in Central Queensland include Banana, Gladstone, Rockhampton, Central Highlands, Woorabinda, Isaac and Mackay.

Fire bans have been extended until midnight Monday, 26 October, and may be extended again if dangerous fire conditions continue across the State.
