Fire being watched, but no threat

THE Queensland Fire and Rescue Service continue to monitor a large bushfire which has been burning in the Rockyview Parkhurst area since Sunday.

The blaze is in the vicinity of Stirling Drive, Inverary Way, Angela Drive, Ainsley Court, Casuarina Road, Rebecca Close, Kristie Drive, Dawn Close and Wexford Court.

Firefighters remained on scene until midnight last night working to contain the blaze.

The fire is currently burning safely and there is no immediate threat to property.

If residents are concerned their property is under threat they should call triple zero (000) immediately.
