Fire destroys Allenstown home overnight
UPDATE 9.30AM: Brandon Lindley and his mum Lorna have lost everything after a vicious fire ripped through their Arnold Street home "in a matter of minutes".
The fire tore through the South Rockhampton home at about 4am today and left nothing but destruction in its path.
Neighbours, who were up at the time, saw a bright orange light coming from the bottom of the house.
About 45 seconds later, flames engulfed the stilts supporting the house underneath.
The neighbour then heard the iron gate at the house creaking from the vibration of the fire.
A smashed window abruptly woke Brandon from his sleep and he, his mum and four of their dogs made a quick escape.
One dog, Cola, is still missing.
No one was injured and investigations are continuing.
It is not yet known how the fire started but it is believed to have started in the laundry area downstairs.
