Firefighters back burning in Bungundarra

CENTRAL Queensland Firefighters are on scene at a large grass fire in Bungundarra.

A Queensland Fire and Emergency Services spokesperson said the grass fire is part of a large back-burning operation across several properties in the area.

"No homes are under threat from the blaze," the spokesperson said.

During the back-burning, motorists are advised to be conscious of the amount of smoke in the air.

Smoke inhalation is harmful, particularly in those with existing respiratory conditions.
