Firies given a helping hand

THE Rural Fire Service in Central Queensland has been able to purchase a new mobile fire education trailer from $23,000 raised by the Bendigo Bank and the local community.

QFRS Rural Operations assistant commissioner Neil Gallant said the vital piece of equipment, which was handed over to the service this week, would prove very beneficial when conducting community awareness presentations in the region.
