Firies at white powder incident

PEOPLE have been hosed down and quarantined at a residence in Blackwater tonight.

A Queensland Fire and Rescue spokesman said emergency services were called at 5.08pm to a white powder incident, with two Blackwater units currently on scene plus a QFRS scientific person.

They  are waiting for the Hazardous truck from Rockhampton to arrive, which was delayed when a traffic incident at the Yeppen roundabout halted traffic for over an hour about 5.30pm.

The area has  been cordoned off as emergency services wait for the truck, that has the testing equipment, to arrive.
