Fisherman's autopsy ongoing

AS the Capricorn Coast fishing community mourns the tragic loss of Andrew ‘Mal’ Goldfinch, the police investigation into his death at Corio Bay continues.

Police said it could be up to two weeks before Yeppoon CIB knows the results of yesterday’s autopsy.

Mr Goldfinch’s body was found at Waterpark Creek, near Corio Bay, after the commercial fisherman was last seen in his boat in the area last Tuesday afternoon.

Coast fishing identity, Scott Lynch said the fishing community was saddened by the loss.

He recalled the last time he’d seen Andrew, the pair had shared a drink in the Corio Bay area and talked about fishing.
