Fishermen's bodies found off Victorian coast

THE bodies of three Victorian fishermen missing since their aluminium tinnie sank off the coast of Altona at the weekend have been recovered.

The search for Steven Do, 30, his brother David Do, 31, and their friend Phong Nguyen, 35, all from Sunshine West, resumed on Monday at first light.

Police said the first body was found about 10am, 9km south-east of where the fishermen's upturned boat was found on Sunday afternoon.

The second body was recovered about midday.

It is understood the men had taken lifejackets but it was not known if they were wearing them when the tinnie sank.
